#Tinsel: Week in review.

Angelique (and her lollipops) is still having a hard time with Angela. She refuses to let Angela back in control of her body saying she is living a better and happier life than the pathetic one Angela lived. Angela warns Angelique that she is ruining everything.
Detective Sankey and Dr Ibrahim have a talk about Angela. Detective expresses her concern for Angela saying she is different. She forgets conversations; she is left handed and seems bold and loud. She insists Angela is possessed by witchcraft from her village.  Dr Ibrahim initially doesn’t say much as he doesn’t want to break the Doctor-patient confidentiality code. Days later, he confides in the detective about his suspicions that Angela is suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder saying it is quite common with people who have suffered trauma.

Amaka is under pressure at reel studios. The staff is unhappy about working with a mystery producer. They are uncertain how this would work out with the deadlines just around the corner. Amaka finally gives in and reveals the mystery producer is Laide Cole all to their shock. They schedule a meeting at Laide’s apartment with the production team in attendance. Laide in her usual fashion has to let them know who’s holding the reigns. Cancelling and adjusting budgets earning her a million rolling eyes from Amaka and some members of the production team.
Salewa (with all her emotions running lose) decides to have a party for her 18th birthday only because her parents (well Titi pressured Dan into it) decided to have an engagement party. She un-invites her parents from her party saying if they come they’ll steal the spotlight from her. She also doesn’t extend an invite to Titan for the same reason. Titan however hears about her party via Sho (Aproko friend) and gatecrashes the party. He expresses his disappointment, gives Salewa her gift and leaves the party to all the teenagers’ dismay. Salewa is bumped and speaks to her Mom who advices her to mix with the celebrities but Titan must ask Salewa to date him formally. Salewa calls Titan and apologizes to him saying she would like him to ask her parents if she can date him.  Titan accepts her apology and accepts to do right by Salewa and her parents. He (alongside Salewa) goes to Titi-K’s to meet Salewa’s parents, he gets their consent to date their daughter. All is well in the sparkly paradise of teenagers in love.
Brenda Mensah finally meets with Masters in prison to talk about getting her company back from Angela Dede. She makes him understand that she doesn’t want to be involved in the dirty deals of the plan and he should keep it short and neat. Masters states that he doesn’t intend to kill Angela because there are worse things than dying. He only wants to make Angela pay for what she did to him. Brenda goes back to work and shocks everyone by showing her total support for Angela’s project. She even goes as far as arranging a photo-shoot and interview with Angela to dispel the rumors’ about her and Angela being at logger heads. Angelique is thrilled at this turn around by Brenda, believing she really is in support of her TV series project.

Detective Sankey finds out about Brenda’s visit to Masters and is deeply curios as to why Brenda will get herself involved with such a dangerous man. She invites Sheila and Amaka to her office and gives them this information to their utmost shock. Sheila stops by Brenda’s office and confronts her about her visit to Masters. Brenda tells Sheila off saying she knows what she is doing. Sheila warns her to be careful and takes her leave.
Bimpe Adekoya auditions for the reel movie and as always, makes a mess of it… or not. She flips when she discovers Omar is asleep during her audition. She stones him with pieces of her script and storms out of the office. Lol! I kind of think/hope this will be Bimpe’s big break if she gets picked to play some role. That we shall find out in subsequent episodes.
Omar can barely keep up with the speed the film project at Reel is taking. Castings, budgets, photo-shoots, wardrobe as well as dealing with the staff of Reel studios who think he is inexperienced for the project at hand. Omar is totally overwhelmed by all these happenings and doubts if he can keep up with all that is required to make the film a success. He receives some sort of encouragement from Fred Ade-Williams who tells him sometimes you get a lot more done standing still than running around.
Angelique and Kwame get chummy as neighbor’s. Kwame thinks Angela’s TV series project is brilliant and will bring in the big buck if executed properly. Angela thinks Kwame will make a good team member and offers him a spot with the TV series team. Kwame says Brenda won’t like this and Angelique says she and Brenda are like best friends now since Brenda made her support known.
It’s Titi-K and Dan’s engagement party and in normal Titi-K fashion, she decides to keep the guests’ waiting so she can make a grand entrance. Guests are talking, wondering where she is and how sorry they feel for Dan Ade-Williams decision to marry Titi-K. Finally, the moment has come for Titi-K to grace her guests with her presence. She stands up to make her way down to the garden and to her horror, her dress pops tearing along the hemline. Titi is devastated and wails out in despair.
