Big Brother Africa 8: Saturday Night Party.

Biggie thrilled the housemates to an amazing party last night. Surprisingly, unlike previous seasons both houses had DJs dishing out music for them. Celebrating Kenya's 50th Independence Day, Big Brother brought Dj Hypnotiq from Capital fm, Kenya to thrill the housemates in the Diamond house where we have two Kenyan housemates. While in the Rubies house, DJ Jaws from South Africa brought down the house with his exceptional turn-table skills.

The housemates didn't disappoint as they partied and danced away. Diamond's housemates who were already in a party mood were all dressed. Rubies housemates didn't dress up except Koketso who spent minutes dressing up in the bedroom while the party was going on in the lounge. It was quite difficult and even annoying trying to keep up with the two parties at the same time. Big Brother didn't try at all by making the party simultaneous. But still, it was fun to watch and I watched more of the Rubies party because the DJ was better and obviously they have the better dancers.

Bassey was fun to watch all through and he didn't disappoint. Pokello also killed it, she kept "twerking" and was so in the mood to whine her bum. But then my girl and my soon-to-be friend Selly from Ghana is the best in that department. Babes is very good with the whining and twisting of her bum, throwing her hair up and down, shaking and whining her body seductively and also giving us mad azonto skills, she really made me happy and was a joy to watch. Nigerian Beverly also proved to all that she really is a video vixen and danced pretty well. Natasha who spent most of the party time in the kitchen also joined in the party and showed her dancing skill. Maria, Cleo, Sulu, Neyll, Oneal, Biguesas also danced pretty well and enjoyed themselves.

The real entertainment and madness of the night came from the very funny and unique character in the big brother house, Denzel. Denzel was in his usual element, his crazy and funny self. Dancing totally out of tune to the music being played, making hilarious gestures on the dance floor, at a point stood still in a funny poise for a very long time. He was just crazy and made me laugh so much.

Meanwhile, in the Diamond house the housemates showed their dancing skills and had a good time. Nigerian Melvin for me was the star of the night, not taking anything away from the two Kenyans who were celebrating their Independence Day. But Melvin from the onset danced all through till the end with all the girls dancing with him. Elikem also entertained and was fun to watch sometimes doing his azonto skills, Huddah from Kenya also showed us she's a party animal.

Bolt and Betty spent most of the party time cuddling on the chair as opposed to dancing on the floor. while Nando just stood on the chair all through watching other housemates as they did their thing. I also enjoyed watching Feza, Delish and Annabel dancing. Fatima, Motama, Angelo and Bimp also had a good time dancing. Hakeem joined in now and then but most of the time in his usual style laid back, chilling and posing.

The best dancers are in the Rubies house especially the girls and they had the better of the night. Happy Independence Day Kenya!
